Post pandemic Social Housing

This thesis explores the progression of social housing strategies post-pandemic in an urban metropolitan area. It delves into the incorporation of sustainable and inclusive design principles, community resilience, and policy frameworks to tackle the amplified challenges of social housing during the pandemic. By examining potential interventions through case studies on various issues, the study aims to provide insights for future urban development and social housing policies in response to global health crises.
Case studies for the possible architecture interventions for the above problems
“I gained my inspiration from a Moroccan city called Ceuta. Every possible thing-human being, donkey’s dancing, sheep’s bleat, shops, ancient houses mosques, restaurants, the fragrance of mint and tobacco, and the odor of human bodies-were mixed indiscriminately. Passing through an alleyway lined with souvenir shops aimed at tourists and brushing away the importunate hands of vendors, I suddenly arrive at a street of houses. There is an entrance to a mosque, well ornamented with strikingly beautiful tiles, and then a small square. Corridors of houses cross casually overhead. In no time all I feel lost. The entire city is a maze”.

"Bringing it to the street level, combining it with a park, you bring daylight into it. So we save tens and millions of dollars and greatly improve the project experience."
